Blah

I know I haven't updated in a while, so I thought I would update with an update about not updating.

Quite honestly, I just haven't had that much to say.

All of my creative resources have been directed towards academic things as of late, so when I get home at night I just simply don't have the juice to pound out an update to this blog. So, I typically sit there and stare at a blank screen, try typing a few things that just don't work out, then erase them.

Furthermore, when I do sit down and want to talk about something, it typically revolves around something academic I learned from an article or in class or during research. Given the extremely complicated nature of some of the stuff I work on, I just don't have the energy to put it all down in text form.

So, what I typically do is turn on the TV for a while, then go to bed.

That's pretty much it. I really just don't have much to say right now. When I do, I'll post again. ;)

I've started coming home to watch the full hour of Scrubs on Comedy Centrals (Dr. Cox... is... awesome), and reading history books. On tap for this week:
Profiles in Courage by JFK. Figured as it got a Pullitzer, and it was on sale at Borders, I'd give it a shot. Not bad.
Next week:
"Mortality: The Black Death."
After that, "The Great Influenza."

... what? 3 books for the price of 2 at Borders. Very sweet deal. And they just don't require much thought.. plus if it gets late at night, you end up falling asleep faster :P

Well, some of us may just have to fill the gap with stories of your childhood. I was at a meeting yesterday when we started discussing the children of lawyers, and I told them the LeAnne/haircut story. It brought down the house.
As your sibling would say...jijiji.
Love,
Mums

This means you're doing it right. Relax and enjoy the exhaustion that comes from
leaving the day having given it all. It's what serious graduate work is all about.
Why do you think your mom, a renowned fidget and fixer, became addicted to "Buffy"?
Why did I start chopping wood? Don't feel bad about leaving it all on the table.
Enjoy the fact that you've committed so deeply. We are very proud of the way you've grown
over the last year. Keep it up. D

You don't hear it enough, you & JJ
have made something out of dreams....correction "are making".
It's a work in progress. The progress is pretty spectacular considering where you were a short two years ago. D
